Filming today...
Together with Rich and Danny Camara, I visited the shoe studio today and Danny filmed Gabby putting together the toile for my last shoe design! It’s so interesting to watch a piece of leather (red offcut in this case) being transformed into a something that you designed. I’m hoping next year I will be able to do a course that will allow me to be more hands on in the making process but...
Photoshoot and Samples
I just picked up the natural leather platform brogue from the studio and it looks amazing! I am disappointed with the fit of the timber heel but regardless it’s probably one of my favourite shoes right now. I wish I could post a photo but I’m trying to keep things semi-secret till the photoshoot (end of September!)

Today...
Busy day today! I picked up the ply wood being used for my bag handles and closures. It should look very interesting against the natural leather - the wood is very blonde and pale but has a beautiful grain. Together with the wood worker I’ve decided on box joints in all the ‘l’ and ‘u’ shaped pieces to accentuate the multi layered ply effect and also provide strength...
